Who we are
Defencify Regulatory Intelligence (the "Service") is an information service operated by Defencify Training, LLC. We help private security professionals look up state-by-state licensing, training, and compliance requirements. Contact us at
sales@defencifytraining.com.
What we collect
- Account data: email, first and last name, optional company name, password hash (if you sign up with email). If you use Google or Microsoft sign-in, we receive your email and display name from your identity provider.
- Profile preferences: role, years of experience, company size, industry segment, Defencify relationship, operating states, primary use case, primary goal, pain points, and discovery source. You provide all of this voluntarily through onboarding and the account page.
- Usage data: the questions you ask Intelligence, the answers we generate, conversation timestamps, and a per-account prompt count. We retain conversation history so you can resume sessions.
- Attribution data: campaign parameters contained in the link you used to reach the service, such as UTM values or a Google click identifier. We use these values to understand which Defencify outreach led to an account registration.
- Technical data: IP address (for rate limiting only), browser type, and basic device information.
How we use it
- Deliver source-backed regulatory answers tailored to your role and operating states.
- Enforce your 7-day free trial, customer access, and usage limits.
- Improve Intelligence answer quality and citation accuracy.
- Maintain account, onboarding, customer-support, and service-attribution records in our customer relationship system.
- Email you about your account, billing, and material product changes. We will not send marketing email unless you explicitly opt in.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted infrastructure providers:
- Supabase provides authentication and database infrastructure.
- Anthropic processes Intelligence questions to generate answers.
- Vercel hosts the application and provides aggregate operational analytics and performance measurements.
- HubSpot stores account contact details, onboarding preferences, operating states, company information, and signup-attribution values for customer relationship management, onboarding, and support.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect our rights, users, or service.
Retention
We retain your account data and conversation history while your account is active and for up to 24 months after closure for audit and dispute-resolution purposes. You can delete your account at any time by emailing
sales@defencifytraining.com.
Your rights
You can view your profile and update most operating preferences from the
account page. To correct your email or company, request a copy of your data, request deletion, or exercise any other privacy right available under California (CCPA) or other applicable law, email
sales@defencifytraining.com.
Security
Passwords are hashed using industry-standard methods and never stored in plain text. All traffic is encrypted via TLS. Database access is restricted by Postgres row-level security so users can only read their own records.
Children
Intelligence is intended for security industry professionals over the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will email account holders.
