How to use the Defencify Regulatory Copilot.

The repository refreshes continuously. Agency monitoring runs daily across the 51 jurisdictions tracked, and any detected confirmed change is logged to the Compliance Updates calendar. Proposed bills are tracked as watch items before they become current requirements. Most state pages reflect confirmed agency changes within 24 to 48 hours of publication by the issuing agency.

All 50 US states plus the District of Columbia, for a total of 51 jurisdictions. Coverage spans unarmed and armed guard licensing, training requirements, firearm endorsements, renewal rules, agency licensing, compliance changes, and proposed bills where applicable.

Open the Portfolio view and pick the states you operate in, or ask the Copilot a comparison question directly, like 'compare online training rules across Texas, Illinois, and Florida.' The Copilot returns a side-by-side breakdown of training hours, license types, fees, and renewal cadence with the source citation for each cell.

Open any state profile from the States tab and use the watchlist control in the top right of the profile header. Watchlisted states surface first on the Updates calendar and trigger inline notifications when the regulatory monitor logs a change.

The Copilot tracks unarmed guard, armed guard, security agency, training school, and instructor licenses where the state issues them. State profiles also surface firearm endorsements, baton or OC permits, and any license tier specific to that jurisdiction.

The Copilot pulls each cited URL, extracts the relevant passage, and attaches it so you can read the source yourself. Sources are refreshed on a rolling schedule so stale or moved links get flagged. The Copilot is an aggregation and research tool that surfaces what official agencies publish; it does not replace the primary source, so always confirm requirements directly with your state licensing agency before acting.

Ask the Copilot directly. It can pull from official .gov sources in real time when the repository may be missing or stale. If you confirm a gap in the internal repository, flag it from the state profile and the regulatory team will add the rule, attach the source, and backfill the change history.

Every Copilot answer surfaces a source link inline. Click the source pill to open the agency page, or copy the full answer block to share via email or Slack. The citation URL is preserved so a teammate can verify the claim against the same source.
